Higley High Athletic Director Receives State-wide Award
Jennifer Burks, Higley High School Assistant Principal & Athletic Director, received the Zig
Kwiatkowski Rookie “Step to the Plate” Award from the Arizona Interscholastic Athletic (AIA)
Administrators Association. This award is presented to an Arizona athletic director who has three or fewer years of experience and has made an impact on athletics at their school or the state. Mrs. Burks is in her third year as Athletic Director. Her responsibilities include athletic programs, facilities, security, coach evaluations, hiring, budgeting and all athletic events. When you see her around school, practices or meets tell her congratulations.
